  • First I knock on doors for the candidates I believe in, I’m probably one of the most participatory voters in my local area. I do the calls, I join in protests where I can, and am an active member of my community. If I wasn’t I certainly wouldn’t be pissed about the whole fucking thing. FFS, I’ve quite literally helped organize my neighborhood in case ICE shows up.

I get that you don’t like losing, so you imagine arguments you can fight against, but don’t you find it a bit pathetic you need to do that? Stick to what I said, not what imaginary me said in your head, please. Don’t assume shit about my life you haven’t even bothered asking me about, it just pisses me off, and makes you look like an idiot.

  • Well considering people are being locked up in concentration camps, shot in the street in broad daylight, and the feckless opposition party constantly rolls over. Probably the gun, since I’ve already organized with my neighbors in case ICE shows up.

Glad I could clear that up for you though.

Edit: Oh and that’s a false dilemma since voting is also backed by guns, they’re just used by a third party so we can abstract away the inherent violence that allows a government to be a government.

  • And then of course in 2020 they colluded behind the scenes to have all the candidates drop out except Biden, Bernie, and Elizabeth Warren(Left in to split the progressive vote).

But you know these blue maga types, they prefer to leave reality off the table so they can pretend this is a functioning democracy.

And in 2024…Oh right… No choice to be had.

Edit: Oh and then of course, that’s also conveniently leaving out that only registered democrats are allowed to vote in those primaries in most states, leaving out a significant chunk of the electorate.

  • Okay, but to be fair, we should probably Guillotine the Epstein Class, and create employee owned businesses. Would probably benefit a lot of people.

As for voting, we will always need to vote. All governments are a monopoly on violence, and voting is one of the ways to direct that violence. It’s mine, and no doubt many others, preferred way of directing that violence. In opposition to dictators, kings, and other unelected versions of governance directing said violence.

So I do view those refusing to vote as naive at best, and dumber than a stump at worst.

  • No, what you showed was a lie of statistics. It’s not reality. It’s context less without the Non-voter numbers.

And even if they do, I wonder how many of those non-voters would be third party voters if they hadn’t been told their whole life their choices don’t matter unless they vote for the Evil Candidate or the Rolling Over Candidate?

Once again why isn’t a politicians fault for not meeting the electorate where they’re at? Like Non voters are the clear winner every election purely on the numbers. Have you ever asked yourself why? Ever asked them?
