That NL, we also have quite a few banned domains here. Basically copyright organisations like Brein will sue everyone they can get away with. Unfortunately they have been succesfull on multiple occasions, mostly because the other party won’t show up in court and they win by default. Another thing they do is sue one of the large ISP’s for facilitating copyright infringement to get them to block sites like torrent sites. If the judge rules in their favor, then all Dutch ISP’s have to abide by the ruling.

I like that I can just block users or communities that I’m not interested in, and just browse all the rest. The amount of cross posting could be better, it’s not uncommon to see the same post five times in a row.

I’m assuming this company is related to the Boston Cabot family, who once were the closest think the US had to royalty (and who originally made their money with slave trade). I don’t think anything they are involved in gets owned by the employees.

Edit: I should have googled it before making this comment, they’re named after the town of Cabot in Vermont.

Well, for most people it has to be on a weekend and not too far away, since they can’t afford to lose their job. (This is usually given as a reason to not go on general strike) Also, the right to bear arms is specifically meant for this scenario, but the people who currently exercise this right are usually the ones defending “the Epstein class”. (Great name BTW)

That’s one way to look at it, I’d say they are pretty robust seeing how we abuse them, and how long they’ll last in conditions they didn’t evolve in.

Nano particles, different materials are being used today with dimensions similar to those of asbestos particles, and it turns out they have the same effect. It’s not the asbestos, it’s how the body handles these particles. Think of stuff like mineral wool, carbon nanotubes, silica. Sitting. More and more people are sitting down (inside, so they also lack vitamin D) for long parts of the day, and it leads to all kinds of medical problems.

Work: Chemical engineering, activated carbon (especially production), membrane filtration and high pressure boiler systems (shoutout @[email protected]).

Non-work: Moonshine making, Festival organizing (quit two years ago), plumbing, carpentry and general home improvement.
