There are some movies with a very small cast in a specific situation where failing the test makes sense. A survival story where there are two characters that interact would fail if both of them weren’t women, but that could be a solid movie.
But any movie with more than a few characters will most likely have a cast large enough where there should be plenty of situations for women or girls to talk to each other about something other than men. The test is a great way to look at movies as an aggregate, so we can ask ourselves why movies tend to be focused so much on men that a script can’t be written with characters that are female and have something to discuss that doesn’t involve men.
The reason of course is the imbalance on the number of scriptwriters, number of directors, and projects lead by women that are greenlit which should be a narrowing gap over time as we overcome the inertia of already connected people continuing to get more work. The gap should be narrowing a lot faster than it is.
For a very long time US currency did not have a lot of effective anticountergeit measures compared to other countries, and there is a massive amount of US bills decades old still used for transactions. Even the sheer amount of bills being used makes it easier to slip in some counterfeit in an otherwise valid bundle of cash before the fact that it is easier to counterfeit older US bills.
A lot of it is momentum from that, and $100 bills being a great value to volume with lower security measures compared to other currencies. Especially if counterfeiting older US bills.
A luxury or high end store is going to be doing meticulous record keeping that would make it easy to find whoever used that rare bill.
A $20 or even $100 handed to a random clerk is likely to be mixed in with the others of the same denominations at the store.
The other thing is that if you have access to a store or business that normally pays cash you can use a bunch of counterfeit bills and keep the real cash. It isn’t only individuals making purchases at stores.

Brands names and generic coming from the same production lines are priced difference because of differing quality control standards. This may or may not still be the case, but it was when brand names were working on building the brand.
So a can of brand name green beans is more likely to have full beans with better texture and consistency. The lower quality beans, more fragmented and smaller pieces, and more variety in color are going to be in the generic labeled cans. Yes, same beans and same production line but the brand names get the better stuff in the same way as the people who pick through the fresh produce when it arrives at the store and the generic gets to use whatever is left over.
Generics are perfect in soups and casseroles and if you don’t care enough about presentation. Brands are for when you want rigid consistency.
There are quite a few users who make good posts, especially images and memes but their comments are dogshit so this lets me enjoy their good contributions and roll my eyes at their bullshit :)
I block a lot less after switching to piefed which has a feature where I can tag users with poop and barfing and other emojies as it reminds me to laugh at the user instead of engaging.
LLMs are a.parlor truck that makes text output look natural, but massively unreliable like a game of telephone. Good for a laugh or two, but absolutely not worth wrecking the hardware sector over and not needing to be jammed into everything and endlessly nagging users about it.
Worse than web searches from a decade ago, and used to further fill results with generated slop. Certainly not ready for prime time, and the core design means it never will be for all the uses they are pretending it would be helpful for.
If they landed and did stuff that was more complex than we can send robots to do it would have been pretty awesome!

I saw it in the very early 2000s in my 20s and it was also the first mecha anime I watched. Most of the references to other anime went over my head, and it was half boring and half exciting, and halfway through the last or maybe second to last episode we started smoking weed because it was so weird anyway we thought it would help. Definitely had a good laugh when we found out the minimalism was due to running out of money.
Definitely enjoyed it, and after watching additional anime it was even better on a rewatch. Rebirth and Death or whatever the extra things in were great as well. Asuka facing off against the white drones or whatever is one of my favorite action scenes of all time.
