Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why do people have issues with OnlyFans Models and Porn Stars.English
2·4 days agoi wish i had this realization when i was younger. lol
back then, i was deeply confused when i learned that people were getting off to a surreptitiously recorded hookup that featured me because i assumed no fancied me; yet there was in in my full glory laughing at the wailing coming from the man i’m pleasuring and the video had over 100k likes/upvotes.
it wouldn’t have made me a millionaire; but it would have gotten me a hell of a lot closer than i will ever be. lol
and at least i got a husband out of the whole affair; i like silver linings. lol

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why do people have issues with OnlyFans Models and Porn Stars.English
3·4 days agoYes. In an ideal world, people won’t have to do any dangerous or difficult jobs. But for now, we can’t start with the worst offenders.
do you believe that all sex work is dangerous or difficult?
do you believe that easy & safe but compulsory work as a means to get obtain food and shelter is an ideal world?

2·4 days agoi don’t thing anyone can argue against self reliancy in our critical infrastructure.
our disagreement is centered on the misguded belief that the western world (the united states in particular) will ever stop burning fossil fuels. the united states became self reliant on fossil fuels during the biden years and the epsteins will guarantee that americans will stay trapped in this climate killing version of self reliancy until they’ve squeezed every last drop of oil profits out of the united states and venezuela.

2·5 days agono prescience needed; the american gov’t has literally been doing that since the 1920’s. lol
you would know this already if you spend your time reading these public domain file releases instead of uncritically ingesting propaganda.

2·5 days ago… making our energy system even more reliable on hostile and autocratic nations …
thanks to the freedom of information act, the state department released an epstein files like trove of documents admitting that they made up a bunch of propaganda about several nations; including china; decades ago to make the world believe this.
also: the epsteins have engineered it so that doing this through some gradual shift will never happen.
the climate change will fuck over this this world because of people like you who refuse to learn what’s already been common knowledge outside the western world since the 1990’s.

6·5 days agowe’ve already blown past 2 degrees so it’s clear that we’ve already messed it up. the true question is how much longer we’re going to keep letting the epsteins manipulate us into messing it up further instead of buying cheap & scalable green tech from china.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Can btrfs snapshots help me recover from botched attempts to follow online guides?English
1·5 days agoi dug through my downloads because it bugged me that i couldn’t remember and it was ubuntu 24.04, kubuntu 25.10, fedora-kde 43, and mint 22.2 cinnamon that didn’t give the option and it was back in august.

1·5 days agoi was under the same impression as well; but no, all of the distros i tried on my new laptop (various different ubuntu flavors and some others i don’t remember) didn’t have it.
i’m capable to doing it myself, but fedora’s installer let me simply check a box for it.

1·7 days agoFunny enough I went to Fedora because it did all the pre-configuration to setup disk encryption unlike all of the Debian based distros I tried; not even Ubuntu had it.
… to satisfy the average dumbass using it
we all have to start somewhere
lemmy was created by the people who used to inhabit r/politics; r/socialism; r/communism; r/linux; and r/foss and they coalesced around lemmy.ml
lemmy.world has the bread-and-circuses that you’re looking for.
genuinely envious
same here; i would be homeowner, married w children and with genuine retirement retirement prospects if politics did force the dissolution of my marriage; forced me to accept college debt for a useless degree; and several jobs untenable.
it’s strange to imagine myself as a capitalist. lol
bsd was originally a calfornia thing and california had made the first step to this reality; i bet big changes are coming their way.
i 100% agree with you and i’m sharing this to warn you that there are plenty in this are that will balk at the message that you’re trying to share.
don’t let them deter you; most of them are visitors from captured origins and will refuse to accept it as a result.
… bullshit … criminals … smear … garbage … get your shit straight … morons.
more expletives, than sentences; this reads like it was written by micay himself. lol

Linux@lemmy.ml•Are you using systemd or an alternative, what do you recommend?English
0·13 days agoa government id requirement is the next logical step after its needful framework has been built as a result of the age verification laws that have already taken affect in the uk and california.
and because it’s a government law, it’s out of the systemd developer’s hands. linux is influenced heavily (if not outright controlled) by corporations like red hat who have to abide by the law if they want to continue operating and, in a likewise fashion, the systemd maintainers must also comport themselves if they want systemd to remain the dejour method that linux uses to initiate itself in those ecospheres.

sounds like they did better than i did. lol
