Seriously every other post, every sub seems like nothing but politics. It’s so boring and disgusting. What made reddit great at one time was the diversity of genres and depth. Lemmy is very shallow and politically motivated it seems. I have been here since the Reddit exodus. It’s always been this way.

Yes. Along with all the rabid pro-western propaganda, chauvanism, unexamined privilege, and the insufferable confidence in mistaking naivete and ignorance for common knowledge. You know, all the stuff that should make you feel right at home if all you’re looking for is a reddit 2.0. Then again, there are a number of instances to choose from if that’s what you’re looking for, but .world remains the classic example.

Your instance and this filled with (using the analogy from your quote) eastern propaganda and very similar flaws that you have given to the lemmy.world. For me, it sounds like some kind of envy that there exist a powerful rivalry instance, that doesn’t share same opinions and grows bigger and bigger each day.
The problem with your accusation is that it doesn’t hold water. Leftist instances are consistently more correct regarding political views. You can’t just say that Hexbear is wrong for having stances, you need to investigate the stances themselves.

There is no rivalry. Lemmy is for everyone. That includes people who live their lives in different ways. Ways that you disagree with. This is a good thing.
Fine. Until those ways are supporting genocide and the enslavement of 99.9% of the planets population to the insatiable greed of the tiny fraction of the world the status quo was created to work for. Then we have a real problem, and I’m not gonna “agree to disagree” with anyone taking that stance.
Sadly, but your point of view is not shared by many other people on this platform. Rivalry indeed do exist, as I had noticed attending both instances. But it only exists for political points of views. All others aspects, as I will agree, relatevely the same.
