  • Because admitting climate change is real means effort and change.

    • Effort, because those responsible for causing climate change need to be deposed. Nobody will make that change happen if their sofa is so comfy and there aren’t any problems that personally effect them.
    • Change, because deposing those responsible for climate change also means getting rid of the system that enables them. If the solution to climate change were a drop-in replacement to something that requires no change whatsoever in daily norms it would have a lot more support.

  • CORRECTION!!

“Shark” is not a species. A whaleshark is a species. A tigershark is a species. “Shark”, representing multiple species of shark, is a division, specifically the Selachii division.

The Selachii division is 200 million years old. One galactic year for Sol is 225 million years old. This means that sharks, as we know them, have not existed as a division for two galactic years, barely even for one! Horshoe crabs have been around for 250 million years nearly completely unchanged by evolution, so they have been around for one galactic year… But nobody ever seems to talk about them…

Officially, what came before sharks are classified as a different division with “shark-like morphology”, but they aren’t sharks.

Sharks have existed for longer than the North Star, though. So there’s that.

  • Bazzite is good. An install-and-forget operating system.

What I miss most is being able to see exactly what is being updated inside the KDE user interface, and having some control over what version of something I install in case it breaks something.

However, I’ve had a lot less dependency issues on Bazzite than I had previously on Ubuntu, especially considering my Intel Arc GPU.
