It is definitely a group project … one or two people doing all the work and two to four other with varying levels of input including but not limited to: the bare minimum; ignoring all requests for input and turning up on presentation day assuming everyone else did the work and ready to accept full marks for the groups efforts; and my favourite, actively sabotaging group consensus to push for their own agenda.

They are basically admitting their taxis can’t handle pedestrians and small vehicles. Do they see motorbikes? If they can’t be programmed to deal with bike lanes, can they also not be programmed to use slip lanes correctly? What about merge points? How do they go with English multilane 6-way roundabouts?
Yeah hard sell in the US. Nationalising infra is the way forward. Laying new cable and ducts in a city is wildly expensive and not always possible due to the need for new ROWs.
We nationalised our telco infra here in Aus. Our conservatives tried to stop it and ended screwing up the deal and making it cost 30 to 60 billion more than it should have, but conservatives are mostly incompetent so kinda expected.
The question still stands, does your city have enough capital? Fibre is expensive to lay at a city scale, the equipment to connect is inexpensive to buy and maintain, you also need to ensure compliance with local telecoms regulation, you’ll also have to deal with competition from existing established and experienced competition.
I dunno, I guess I need to just start asking my wife more logic error questions in general conversation. Or start testing the capabilities of my new cyborg partner, I’m keen to see what kind of performance improvements she might have, can she clean as she goes? How’s she do with general yard work? If I need a very large pile of dirt shifted do I need to rent a digger or is the answer now standing before me?
As far as the UK goes bumblebees are pretty great, also the pollen soup that is spring, hiking is also pretty awesome in the UK, lots of hiking trails that run between towns/pubs that just cut through farm etc.
That’s fine because humans can be held responsible for their actions. Who is held responsible when a waymo kills 6 people in a peloton or drags some poor guy who was just on his way to work for 6 blocks? Will the company receive a mostly inconsequential fine and carry on with their fuckery?
