Oh well that’ll sure take care of it.
Also why just UK? This age verification is being rushed out en mass all over the EU and world. In worst possible way that’s privacy invading and huge risk for security.
“I like pancakes.”
“Oh, so you hate waffles?”
Because the UK has already an invasive strict age verification system in place. Where in the EU is that slready the case as well? Certainly noz on EU level or in Austria. Their are ambitions in that direction however.
We need to be proactive opposing this crap before it becomes a norm. Because once they get their way it’s nearly impossible to make them back of their stupid dumb shit. Especially when it’s “to protect the children”.
We also need to be making sure to have backup plans like Squidward has clocks.
The ruling class has an instinctual need to surveil their subjects. They won’t stop until they get what they want. It doesn’t matter what the public thinks.
I am not disagreeing with that, just wanted to state the facts, why the UK is in the focus.
Maybe because they feel like they have a chance there? The US for example isn’t going to listen to fuck all at this point.
Why would anyone think countersurveillance measures would be more effective in the UK than the US?
Isn’t it about a year late?
Better late than never?

When you do accusations you better provide some credible sources, then maybe you won’t get downvoted.
Yeah, okay, when it came to Mullvad, I made a huge mistake in my thinking regarding data retention within the EU.

He’s probably talking about proton, which you absolutely cannot trust with your privacy.
At the end of the day a company must comply with the laws of where it’s based. Most controversies I remember reading about Proton were a bit overblown, probably because they’re so popular.
