I’m so happy to have finally taken decent photos of one. He’s quite the specimen too. He knows he’s the prettiest bird at the feeder. Even if he’s a messy eater.

    I watched this little guy for about 20 minutes and he never once did the upside down thing. Very strange indeed for a nuthatch. I think he was more curious about the bird feeder and all the chickadees, white-throated, sparrows, white-crowned sparrows, tree sparrows, dark-eyed juncos, and squirrels mobbing the feeder. Someone had dumped like 4lbs of seed and the animals were going nuts over it.
