I worry about becoming too recognizable because I have an unconscious bias to begin self-censoring my harsher opinions once I begin to “know” people in the online space. I prioritize people’s feelings over being right, and that can cause me to sugarcoat too often when someone I like says something truly tonedeaf or unintelligent.
I just wanna be able to say “The US is a fucking third world shithole” without some American acquaintance giving me the 🥺 and making me feel like a bastard man about it lolol
We all know it sucks here, you can say it!
The only thing that annoys me personally is when people start implying that it’s like, my fault as someone who was born here
