I love these places because I enjoy window shopping for kitschy souvenirs, but intensely dislike owning souvenirs. So I just spend an inordinate amount of time gawking at (what I consider to be) wildly ugly and/or impractical merchandise, maybe buy a snack, and leave.
I am not immune to the trap but it takes my time moreso than my money lol
