1·3 days agoYeah I saw that haha. I honestly can’t remember the pippin well enough to confirm. Some claim they fell by the wayside for their mediocre taste (which brings up the question of whether they once tasted better), and some say it was aesthetic due to the russeting (browning) of skin at the stem.

I can’t do it either, it’s not just you. I get why some people like it, but I can’t do the hours-long unstructured conversation podcast format. I love when they’re telling a coherent, well-edited story, but those podcasts are expensive to make. I think getting a group of people together to talk about something is cheaper to make and audiences like it.
The one tragedy of reubens is that they can be so insanely good, that I’m left chasing that dragon sometimes. When I order and it’s just average for a reuben (still a good sandwich, just not magical), I’m remembering the reubens I had in the past that were better. The kraut has to be tangy. The meat should not be rubbery.

Currently playing Horizon Forbidden West which is full of yellow markings for climbing/grappling holds, but they explain it as her having an augmented reality headset to highlight the climbing surfaces. There are also the tall grasses she can use for stealth cover that are always homogeneous, 2 feet tall, reddish and with fireflies at night.

Yes, I study bivalves actually and it is utterly fascinating. I remember I learned about it rotating only after a few years of study and it blew my mind
