

I do use dual boot, but still have Winboat on the Linux side because some windows specific apps that aren’t demanding. The ones that are demanding in performance are the ones that I use on Windows natively.

Its not showing after reboot. I wanted to trace it back but theres no trace, hmm


Seemed to be /proc/4212 but its gone after I killed the process.


Thanks, this is useful info. It doesnt appear to be restarting itself after I killed the process. Is this a good sign?


I think I solved it? I ran
sudo kill -9 <PID>
(PID being 4212 in my case)
Memory usage is back to normal afer a reboot, seems fine!

Because they’re probably dealing with their version of surveillance from CCP. It would be interesting to hear conversations from privacy experts and advocates over there, and share experiences of what we’re all dealing with.
