Idk if it’s so simple. I’m a part of some community efforts along those lines and inventory management still needs done. Not to say “your dream is impossible”, quite the contrary. Recognize the radical template that the library gives us!

Baby steps. Appreciate the beauty of human relations first and then trust will come.

Interesting. The only thing that really surprised me was the time zone thing. Can I hide that somehow?
the term “Custom ROM” is outdated and technically inaccurate
Why do you say that?

It’s fine

How do you orchestrate all those lxc containers and vms?

Focus locally, consider first your own community, first in fact then in metaphor. I mean, focus first on what’s actually going on around you, in person. Not plugged in enough to understand that? There are lots of people who need help. Volunteer with your local food not bombs, outreach group, or food pantry.
Then if you need to consider events outside your community, think about how they would map onto your own community and how people you really know would act and react.
Of course this only works if you’re not a gentrifier or trying to maintain segregation or anything like that. You’ve gotta recognize what you have in common with the guy on the street more than the rich fucks that dominate the news.

ITT: people hating on touchscreens
Also ITT: people pointing out really good reasons to have a touch screen.

The thing stopping me from trying out Linux mobile is autofocus for the camera. I don’t have fairphone 6 money iirc but a solution to that for some of the cheaper devices (e.g. op6) would definitely get me on board trying it. Wish I had the dev hours to commit to it but you know how it is
That user might be in the slim minority but they do exist and I appreciate them taking that into account and taking seriously the security of people who aren’t super technical.

I don’t really know how popular that movie is with people who aren’t into subvertising… I don’t think it’s very popular, I don’t know if people will get the reference.
That was the thing that made me think reticulum was worth pursuing actually. It does work over a lot of stuff besides lora. You can mesh WiFi routers or other protocols. The issue is bandwidth ota since so much is dedicated to commercial stuff, but you can route reticulum over that including through i2p for anonymity. Meshtastic very much focuses on lora only, reticulum does not.
