honestly khronkite has improved a lot but their native quick tile isn’t bad if you’re ok with manual tiling.

FINALLY. once this is released I’m going back to KDE. independent desktops is what I’ve been asking for with KDE for so long.

If you’re on debian I HIGHLY suggest utilizing the PikaOS repos. I have it on another machine and I have yet to not been able to find anything. great search tool here: https://packages.pika-os.com/
It’s by far the best debian distro I’ve ever used and while sure it’s made for gaming, it’s fast and I have yet to have any issues with it. Plus their pikman package manager has distrobox built into it so in the rare case I can’t find something via debian I can just find it in an arch package or on the AUR or even on Fedora.

Sorry we don’t review AI Slop.
then closes the ticket. classic. I’m a fan of Flathub more so than ever.
Oh surprise surprise the guy is from Mississauga and has his fingers in everything that is totally unrelated to each other in order to some how, some way, make a buck. Doesn’t surprise me. seems like every “tech person” from Mississauga is also a consultant for some medical crap and yup…that’s what it says on his site.

looking at you Discord. hell also looking at you vesktop, equibop, whatever “better” discord client is out there. majority are just electron web apps.
I use radio.garden every day. When I work I like listening to trance and EDM and there’s no better stations to listen to that stuff than random ones in Germany or Belgium.
I also like listening to Post-Hardcore music and Russian stations have that stuff in spades. really quality stuff even from bands I haven’t heard in years.

I’m actually trying PikaOS for a week, I installed it lastnight. If you want something like Mint, easy to install as Mint, but focused on gaming then it’s a decent distro. It actually works very well with my specific asus laptop that has an AMD iGPU and Nvidia descrete GPU. It’s also improved my battery life over NixOS (which I think is just poor config on my part).
all that being said I’m not sure if I’ll stick with it. However it does seem to be the best distro i’ve used on this laptop, just works really well with it for whatever reason.

you’re not going to notice anything that’s going to knock your socks off but you might notice like slightly less stutter for fps drop for some things. It does depend on the game though.
I use NixOS with the CachyOS Kernel because I play EVE Online. It’s a game that pretty much requires you have multiple clients/accounts going at the same time. For me with the CachyOS kernel if I have 3+ clients open I notice a lot less fps stuttering/lag over say the standard Linux Kernel or even Zen.
At the end of the day, honestly, any distro can pretty much be made into a gaming distro. Stuff like Bazzite, CachyOS, PikaOS are just going to make it “easier” for you because they have stuff installed and configured for gaming in mind by default. easier setup. But unless you’re constantly monitoring benchmarks/your FPS then performance increases, if any, aren’t going to be groundbreaking.
I love Bullet Train to Iowa, great song. Apocalyptica is another great one. But yeah Conditions of My Parole really doesn’t sound like their other stuff. Maynard kinda pulled the same thing with A Perfect Circle and the track The Doomed which sounds insanely epic.
I’m one of those guys who in my teens I just didn’t get Tool or A Perfect Circle. I didn’t understand why everyone loved them. But now in my 40s I get it. I love all of Maynards stuff now. Tool, Pusicifer, A Perfect Circle.
