Dunno what it’s called but I have shared a similar viewpoint for quite some time. The only ‘solution’ I’ve found for myself is to try to gain happiness and life satisfaction from my interests and that’s about it. I don’t believe things will ‘change’ on a grand scale unless conditions force it.

3·14 days agoThe only way I’ve found works for me is if I build in a habitual association with the task I’m doing. So like I know I tend to hold my breath when cleaning the bathroom and it makes me feel light headed, so then now I tell myself every time I wipe a surface, I take a breath. If it’s admin it would be some task related trigger to breathe etc
I agree that it’s hard to put into practice for me but I disagree that it doesn’t have a theory behind it - it’s basically trying to meet other people’s needs and interests in interactions. I think the thing that makes it difficult is not that it doesn’t have clear advice but that I don’t usually care about other people or interests enough and it feels disingenuous to pretend. It is kind of handy in work situations sometimes though
