Top picture has as a huge artificial loan and isolated houses with big gardens are not great either. It feels like a very USA centric point of view of what is ecological. People forget or ignore the impact of ground footprint. Turning natural ground into artificialized ground for humans is the first cause of biodiversity loss. It’s better to have dense cities with reasonably tall apartment buildings and let nature or sustainable agriculture reclaim the rest. I think that’s what solar punk promotes, not the top picture.

Disagreeing with a point ≠ supporting the opposite side, I support rationality.
Let’s discuss to make things better sustainably.
Always happy to question our beliefs.

“Today I learned” is probably appropriate considering you probably just learned about this old news and you want to share it.
