1 month agoI don’t see why this use-case needs a special distribution?
I have Arch installed alongside Ventoy on a thumb drive with all firmware packages on luks encrypted partitions. I keep it in sync with my other computers in terms of dotfiles, configs, packages so I can boot my usual environment on any PC.
As long as all references to partitions are UUIDs (fstab) or by-uuid block device paths it just works and I don’t see why you couldn’t do that with any other Linux distribution.
I bought a PFU Happy Hacking Keyboard Pro 2 about 14 years ago and that’s what I am still using to this day. I did buy a another HHKB Hybrid Type-S a few months ago for my work setup though.
10-15 years ago I was big into keyboards. I even designed (PCB, case, etc) a custom 40% keyboard back then. The HHKB killed the hobby for me. It is surprisingly durable and by now I’m much slower on bigger keyboards. I honestly see myself using this till I die. At least this specific physical layout and mapping.
