Amazing! I love it!
Edit: I think I would do so much coding and listening to music on this thing
Ahoy! I did electrical engineering with a focus on power systems. I did transmission, substation, and ground grid designs. I worked with a bunch of different generations, but I’ve always had a soft spot for nuclear and renewables. My senior thesis was on a supplemental renewable grid design for my hometown. Fun stuff!
I’m also really into native gardening. I’ve planted tons of wildflowers and trees. It’s been a blessing to see such wildlife inside a city. Even saw a coyote!
Nowadays, I’m just a stay at home parent, raising some kids. Which itself is an amazing opportunity to teach a new generation about science, and taking care of our beautiful Earth.

I borrowed a tiller from my library to do a wildflower garden in my front yard by the road. Libraries are truly one of our most precious assets.
Well, I’ll post as a new user. I’ve been around for almost a couple weeks and loving it. I still lurk in all every now and again, but I’m so appreciative to have an instance of my interests that keeps me isolated from all the blech of the other instances. And I really appreciate Lemmy for that opportunity.
