oh interesting - I’ve worked at 4 companies in 10 years, they all called it that.
sfdc (Salesforce dot com) is one of the biggest CRMs in the world and pretty much runs every sales department out there, adp (automatic data processing) is one of the biggest payroll systems in the world.
it’s highly likely you’ve interacted with either or both but maybe in a white-labelled way (e.g. all of Carmax’s computer systems run entirely off Salesforce)
well not in modern parlance but yeah I’m aware it’s an olde timey word
SFDC, IBM, ADP, KKR MYOB are all similarly unpronouncable as singular words.
it has been used as a slur for disabled people.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What’s the youngest and oldest you’d date?
1·9 days agoI’m 42 and happily married the “rule” of half-your-age-plus-7 would put me at 28–70, which I don’t think would be too crazy, but a little weird. I’d probably be more comfortable at 31–55. But also as a bisexual I feel like you could lineraly interpolate a spectrum of gender so the older they are the more masc they present and the more I am attracted to them.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•At some point AI companies are going to have to charge real money to make a profit from their services. What do you think that amount would be and why?

as many comments have said - this is probably a loss leader that won’t survive IPO.

51·12 days agopersonally I think that’s low unless some kind of system is developed to make compute and storage cheaper. $30 / month is consumer level pricing, and more expensive than some streaming platforms and gyms but I was wondering about enterprise level- Salesforce, AWS, Intuit level pricing

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Where can i find a good video tutorial on shaving my junk?
5·28 days agoI would only add that if YMMV with Cremo try baby oil, also works as a moisturizer after as well.
Source: dated a stripper who shaved daily.

oh its weed. I was wondering why you would apply chapstick in the event of the president dying / leaving office.
