Oh aye, I get it. But when you’re new to the platform and trying to work with tools that are familiar, you don’t know about any of that.
As a Mac user who’s migrated over to Linux over the past year or so, I’ve got an idea of where OP is coming from.
Docker on macOS is accessed via a Desktop GUI, so you can easily see what you have installed, how it’s running, etc… So when I shifted over to Linux, I was thrown off by there being no such tool. I wasn’t used to using a terminal to do everything, and grumbled quite a lot about there being no Docker Desktop GUI, given how many self-hostable services run through Docker.
I’ve since gotten used to it, but it really is quite jarring.

Not a single vote for Cheers?

I do it by playing the long game.
Back in 2007 I embarked on a three year radio production degree, and the costs associated with that, all so I could start my own radio show 18 years later where I get people to suggest songs and I play them. And many of them I’ve never heard of.

What does that do?

It’s called #ThePlaylist
Every week I pick a theme which the listeners use as a jumping-off point to suggest songs. Sometimes the links are obvious, sometimes they jump through incredible hoops to justify a song they love. But the music is always great, even if my links… aren’t.

Same. I like to reboot my VPS an hour or before I use it to broadcast my radio show. 9/10 I forget to do it when I’m next to a computer, so I just SSH in from Termux. Works a treat.

They’ll be doing the Stonk.

But my god, Fugitive Motel is a work of art.

Foot Tapper by The Shadows.
Barely a day has passed in the last 25 years where that hasn’t popped into my head for a while. Fortunately it’s delightful.

Everything is a conspiracy if you’re too stupid to understand how anything works.

And if they’re incompatible creatures, you could also end up with scratches.

My favourite geography fact is that when traveling along the Panama canal from the Caribbean sea to the Pacific, you’re further east when you exit than when you entered.
I have ADHD, so, well, everything.
Or just use Tailscale.
Linux just seems to me, to be best geared for lightweight users at best.
A bold opinion in these towers, for sure.
To be fair, I’m mostly about Craig Charles as well. His funk and soul show is a genuine highlight of my week while I’m cooking.
As for other shows; Jarvis Cocker has just come back on Sunday afternoons, which is very welcome. Also, Cerys Matthews on a Sunday is great.
