It’s definitely worth practicing, and the earlier you do it in an interaction the easier. If I’m chatting with someone for more than a minute or two, or we talk about something more interesting than casual small talk, I’ll just extend my hand and say “I’m <name> by the way.” It’s never resulted in anything other than them shaking my hand and telling me their name.
I’ve made a lot of friends just being “out” somewhat regularly. I have a few favorite bars/breweries in the area that I’ll just bring my book to and hang out reading at the bar. Even doing a solitary activity in public ends up getting me into conversations, usually with people who share similar interests.

If it’s recent/happening now, it’s the only thing I use Twitter for. Just search and sort by recent, I’ll almost always find full uncensored clips.

Yeah, that’s a good one.

They sell this stuff at the Kroger deli and I’ve always been curious. This thread has made me less curious.
I’d do anything for a full 8 hours of sleep except go to bed early enough to get a full 8 hours of sleep.

Big fan of a slow disapproving head shake and a thumbs down. Especially in road rage situations (or any time I see a Cybertruck).
I have lots of tattoos and am in my dumb fun stuff era. My next is either going to be a Wild Rainier (Rainier beer bottle with legs used in their weird old commercials) with a shot of whiskey, or American trad animals on my kneecaps.
