It is but ddr5 is not cheap

I recently picked up a used i3 14th gen to add to my server rack. Its great except ddr5 💸
I tired to use zorin recently, but went back home to bazzite. Zorin felt like a skin on Ubuntu and didn’t give me the warm fuzzies inside. I’m sure its fine, but not for me 🙂.
Makemkv works as well

This is the way.
Agreed
I agree. On a new machine I’ve been using I tried Ubuntu and then Zorin, but Bazzite just works better. Could be the Fedora base that’s helping a lot, idk. But switching that machine over when I’m not lazy.

I think older versions of office work under wine. I think the 2020 versions… I forget

I find 8th gen i5 and i7 laptops under 200 all over eBay. Hard to beat.

My addition to the others mentioned here

I only got a house as the monthly was below that of rent. When I was renting, I read the richest man in Babylon book. Its a bit dated advice, but I combined that with the play yourself monthly mentally. What I mean is I set aside some money each month for me to spend on anything extra. New pants, go out to movies, whatever. This money can also carryover to allow for a larger purchase, like a phone.
Anyway, don’t look to others as an indicator to your life journey. Write your story and don’t stress.

Maybe AI generated

This is cool, but since is using lxd in the backend, i wonder how well someone can migrate the containers between systems? I guess non-stateful migration should be possible…

I see a ton of i5-8th gen 2-in-1s with dead batteries, but under 100 on ebay

Just look at the processors in the Synology offerings, you didn’t need much to run a bunch of services.

I’m more of a 3 slice pbj my self

It always comes right after I migrate my family members. Same thing with lastpass and I’m still trying to get people off that.

The sun is too damn high!
Ohhhhh… Let me see if this Dell I’m using can run ddr4, I would like to have 16GB of ram
