Yeah I think the idea is definitely that the empathy people normally get has to do with victimizing a person to the point that the victim won’t interact anymore and the other person grows to regret what they’ve done.

I don’t think someone without empathy will suddenly gain it overnight without interacting with victims and there basically have to be victims for that to happen.
