Idea: using NeoDB for warning about AI-generated music
#NeoDB is a review platform for multiple types of media and is part of the #fediverse (and with some #ATPro integration). People concerned about #AIgenerated contents could include in their reviews if the content is a generated one, so people looking for info can be made aware.
Plus, looking at the information from a blank search page of the instance I have an account on, if the music has a page on Bandcamp, Apple Music, Spotify, MusicBrainz, YouTube Music or RateYourMusic, the user should be able to generate a new entry by searching for the link, facilitating the process.
Two things I think that are worth noting, however:
First, don’t do review-bombing. It could be considered vote manipulation, breach of ToS, counter-effective in a social level, etc. If you must criticize, be constructive and rational.
Second, reviews from NeoDB propagate as microblog posts, meaning Lemmy and (afaik) PieFed users don’t get them by default, requiring a secondary post linking to it or the user to be in a microblog or hybrid platform instead.
