The ACA is a Heritage Foundation plan that delays the USA joining the civilized world with universal coverage.

Or, you know, it was the best they could do since the GOP and Congress exist and were fighting tooth and nail against any expansion of coverage.

But hey, if we can’t have universal healthcare, we might as well not try to make any improvement at all, right?

The ACA gave me affordable healthcare when I had NONE when I was younger.

Cool sarcasm, but again, the ACA further enshrines our broken system and makes universal coverage even less likely to happen. They could have greatly expanded Medicare & Medicaid coverage, but instead went with the Heritage Foundation plan. The Obama/3rd Way practice of pre-compromising is a big part of how we got to where we are now. Where can the right wing party go when the “left wing” party is pushing right wing policies?

The Democrats controlled both houses and the Presidency when the ACA passed In fact, they briefly held a supermajority in 2009.

I love this. It’s not enough for the Democrats to control both houses, not even enough to have a supermajority . . . Now it has to be for years.

Meanwhile, the GOP has no issue forcing their agenda through with far less power.
