    With Debian’s pace they got enough characters to last at least 3,000 years easy. Thats why they’re here, to be the rocks we need in our racks.

          Absolutely! Eth was used for voiced, but it lost out to Thorn by 1066. English is full of letters þat make two sounds, and sounds þat are represented by two different letters. But if you were Icelandic, you’d still use boþ Eth (ð) and Thorn.
