IIRC this little guy was preening himself. Probably in search of a mate. There were quite a few of them, but now all we have are ruby-crowned kinglets, still adorable, but that golden-crown is best.
I haven’t seen any in a couple of weeks. They came in after the grackles (GrrAckKkLE)
Migration is starting now. All the cute ones are coming …plus the fodder.
