34 million and only 6000 apartments.

Efficiency is the key issue everyone fails at here.

He needs to aim bigger, to solve most problems with one stroke.

6000 in 4 months with the system he inherited is still more that previously. Why do you think this is his final goal? Of course he’s aiming higher.

You start by killing the elephant.

Problem is too many Dems are trying to work with the elephant to reach a consensus.

I know the expression. But an issue we run across a lot on the left is either being too accommodating to the opposition or trying to skip steps out of excitement.

Mandami is stuck in an intersection of both issues. Establishment Dems are trying to work with the elephants, progressives want the meal to be finished, and Mandami is in the middle trying to keep peace with both sides by refusing to kill the elephant but still trying to eat it.

      Improvements take time.

It’s possible he’s collected (or even just invoiced) the money, but the work is still being planned/completed.

Furthermore, that’s under 6000 dollars per apartment. For what I presume are some of the worst apartments in the city that’s not bad at all. I’m assuming it’s stuff like mold, major leaks, recarpeting, and whatever else someone living with their parents wouldn’t know about.
