If someone changed their last name to “Newman,” “Forrester,” or “Carrington” because they hate their father and his last name and just liked those instead, and legally changed it, how would you feel?

Obviously I would say “Hello, Newman” and then stand in my doorway so you couldn’t come in and you’d have to go over to Kramer’s.
I don’t see how someone else changing their last name has any appreciable effect on my life. If it makes them happy, I guess I’d be happy for them?
Makes no difference to me. Why would it matter?
How easy is to change your name over there? To legally change your name where I live is quite hard.
I’d never know unless you told me.
