From my understanding, they donated a laptop to DHH, and when the community discovered it, Framework told everyone they are a “big tent”, angering a lot of people (who are mad that FW is okay with financing individuals who want them and/or others dead, and rightly so)
I believe most people are angry about Framework’s response to the whole ordeal, if Nirav apologised instead of holding his ground I don’t think it would’ve been as controversial.

The big tent pitch was weaselly and weak. I assume they were actually unaware of his politics when they gave him the social media plug. But NRP doubled-down indicating it was his preferred distro for “productivity” in that thread.
I’m not sure why they would send a multimillionaire hardware when he spends his own money on much more expensive things.
