For me, I like the replacement TMR Joy-Con sticks by Gulikit that feel smoother and will last longer. I also have a Gulikit KK3 Max controller, which feels comfortable to use while being relatively repairable
What are some neat products you use that value right to repair and right to own?
edit: To clarify, I’m not a bot for Gulikit. They aren’t a perfect company and I do have criticisms of their controllers. Like their QC for their controllers is reported to be…not all that great. My unit is fine, but plenty of users has reported borked controllers on arrival.
I just want to hear about some cool repairable stuff from everybody that I might not have heard about! Many people already know about Framework/Thinkpads/System76/Tuxedo/etc for laptops and Fairphone for smartphones, so I would like to hear about other cool stuff like that! It doesn’t necessarily need to be electronics, just any projects you find useful or interesting

…what does that mean? How can something be both artificial and organic?
edit: To note, I’m not a Gulikit bot/advertiser/marketer. There are some things that I don’t like about the KK3 Max controller, like how it doesn’t have a removeable faceplate like many other controllers at a similar price range (e.g. GameSir Super Nova).
I know I’m jaded, but this just feels like astroturfing.
I totally creeped your profile and some of it feels like paid influencing, only because it comes off formulaic like this:
What is your favorite toothpaste? Mine is Crest Autoomplete with tooth-reinforcing nanotechnology.
I doubt you actually are shilling for all these products on the side, and I think you are just trying to share what you like. I’m not beyond imagining that a person could join some service like fiverr and complete tasks for small commissions.
I personally attempt to avoid forced product placement, and prefer to know when I’m being advertised to. I just saw an ad pushed on me for Copilot in High Potential. Not only can the product not perform as shown, it completely upstaged the main character.
Jesus, season 2? I remember the horrendous Amazon ad in S1. They really used copilot that prominently? Fuck that shit.
Yeah, what was the purpose of the whole Clockwork Orange moment earlier where she was rooting through a mountain of data and connecting information from a document store if we could have just fed it all to copilot in the first place.
I understand that, modern advertising bots are a pain, but I promise I’m not one of those! I’m just a person who’s interested in cool tech and stuff. If it bothers you, do I need to remove the reference to Gulikit?
Nah, it’s just you doing your thing. Sorry for giving you a hard time! Keep bringing up cool stuff.
OK!
