Is there a Fediverse IMDb equivalent?

From my understanding lemmy.world is missing as it is the largest of all instances and this helps users find others.

That is not done for ideological reasoning but Fediverse health.

I haven’t used NodeBB as a user, I assume you cannot subscribe to other instances communities (or do you call them boards?) and only get the choice of what’s on your host?
