Look into hyperconverged, e.g. Proxmox with a local zfs pool.

01·24 days agoThe disadvantage is that you still lose power when the grid goes down, even if you have storage. Unless you run parallel circuits, and your system is island/black start capable.


Not a fan of metal fires at home either, however rare they are in practice. Solid state/sodium ion would definitely help.
