I finally have passion flower seedlings going strong. Juniper got her own watering can so she can take a more active role in the garden, and loves getting a chance to play with the water and feel like she’s contributing.

The cherries and haskaps have finished flowering, but the apples, blueberries, and strawberries are in full bloom.

What’s growing on with you all?

Mice ate like half of my apple saplings! There are so many mice I’ve got an owl build her nest right near my home, I’ll have my revenge now, there are at least 2 baby owls now as far as I can see. Some apples froze with their roots it seems - still no leaves or flowers - and I’ve lost some bee families over this weird winter. But some of those eaten apples started new shoots, bees got somewhat early start hopefully.

So it’s time to throw seeds at ground randomly and watch bees pollinate berry bushes. And transplant those chili peppers started in February somewhere before they suffocate in starter pots.

Those jerk mice! Here’s hoping you continue getting fresh growth on those apples and have good weather for getting those peppers planted
